My Story

I have been supporting pregnant women and new moms for over 15 years as a nanny, family member, and friend. When one of my best friends told me she was pregnant, all the knowledge I had acquired over the years about pregnancy, labor, and birth came pouring out. I could tell that she and her partner felt overwhelmed and unsure how to advocate for themselves in the upcoming situations they would face. In that moment, a switch flipped, and I realized that I needed to become a birth doula so I could support them through this in a recognized capacity. I am now certifying as a Birth Doula through DONA International and my desire to perform this role has grown even stronger and expanded beyond my friends and family.

 

Currently based in Westminster, CO my goal as a doula is to provide moms and partners with the emotional and physical support they need in order to have a wonderful birthing experience.
